2026 IICJ Grant Application Open

CONNECTICUT BAR FOUNDATION ACCEPTING 2026 IICJ APPLICATIONS FOR CIVIL LEGAL AID SERVICES

FUNDED BY: INTEREST ON LAWYERS' TRUST ACCOUNTS (IOLTA); INTEREST ON TRUST ACCOUNTS (IOTA); Court Fees Grants-in-Aid (CFGIA); Judicial branch Grants-in-Aid (JBGIA)

The application for 2026 IOLTA/IOTA/CFGIA/JBGIA (IICJ) grant funds to 501(c)(3) non-profit corporations whose principal purpose is providing legal services to the poor in Connecticut is now available from Connecticut Bar Foundation (CBF).

The Connecticut General Assembly established the Interest on Lawyers’ Trust Accounts (IOLTA) program in 1984.  Connecticut General Statute 51-81c stipulates that the interest is used “to provide funding for...the delivery of legal services to the poor by nonprofit corporations whose principal purpose is providing legal services to the poor.”

The deadline for submitting completed grant applications is Friday, September 12, 2025.
