Register for the Women in Law Symposium

Connecticut Bar Foundation James W. Cooper Fellows Program and Quinnipiac University School of Law to host symposium on “Status of Connecticut Women in the Law.”
As the number of women entering law school and the legal profession continues to exceed the number of men, legal professionals come together on Friday, October 17 to assess what this means for the future of the legal profession.
Nationally recognized litigator and speaker Stephanie A. Scharf, PhD, JD, will deliver the keynote lecture, “Then, Now and Next: Women Lawyers and the Future of the Profession.”
Scharf, who is the Co-Founder and Principal of the woman-owned, consulting firm The Red Bee Group, has over 30 years of practice in the legal field and is known for her innovative work in organizational excellence, diversity, equality and inclusion, strategic growth, and talent development. Hon. A. Susan Peck (Ret.), former Superior Court Judge, Symposium Chair, Founder and original Chair of the CBF Fellows History of Connecticut Women in the Legal Profession project, said, "Over the last fifty years I have witnessed firsthand the growth and development of women in the law. I look forward to the opportunity presented by this symposium to measure how much women have achieved and what this unanticipated and increasing presence portends for the future of the profession.”
