John A. Speziale ADR Symposium

Since 1998, CBF has sponsored symposia focusing on alternative dispute resolution (ADR), all of which have been hosted at Quinnipiac School of Law. The symposia are named for former CT Supreme Court Justice John A. Speziale, in recognition of his work in the field and his leadership as the first Chair of the James Cooper Fellows.

Juvenile Probation Officer I 

John has been with the Judicial Branch for 6 years. He started his career as a Juvenile Detention Officer where he began his Restorative Justice practices. He became a Restorative Justice trainer through the International Institute of Restorative Practices (IIRP). John is presently a Juvenile Probation Officer working with youth and families in the greater Hartford region. He received his Masters in Social Work, from UConn. While as a probation officer, John has joined the Restorative Justice Response Team (RJRT) where he has facilitated restorative conferences for at risk youth throughout Connecticut.
