CBF Board members are a committed and diverse group of professionals who are passionate about bridging the civil legal access to justice gap for Connecticut residents experiencing low-income. 

Our mission is to facilitate systemic change that advances civil justice for all, regardless of power or resources, to achieve a more just and equitable society.

Kristen Jacoby

Kristen Jacoby is President of the United Way of Greater Waterbury, an independent 501 C (3) with annual revenues of $4+ million that creates positive change in the areas of Education, Financial Stability and Basic Needs.  She has fostered a common vision for the agency and continuously works to meet and exceed United Way Worldwide Membership Requirements and 34 “Standards of Excellence”.   

Prior to coming to United Way, Kristen was Director of Business Development & Government Relations for American Medical Response.  For 10 years, Kristen worked at the American Cancer Society, receiving numerous accolades and awards for her work.

Kristen has a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications from University of Connecticut and a Master of Public Health from Southern Connecticut State University.  She studied abroad at The City University, London, England.  Kristen graduated from the Senior Leaders Program for Nonprofit Executives at Colombia University. Kristen is married to Dr. Peter Jacoby and resides in Woodbury.
