Interim Dean Yair Listoken

Yair Listokin is Interim Dean and Shibley Family Fund Professor of Law at Yale Law School. He was appointed Interim Dean by Yale President Maurie McInnis effective August 1, 2025. Prior to his appointment, he served as Deputy Dean from 2022-2025. He also serves as the faculty director of the Howard Wexler Brodie ’93 Center for Jewish and Israeli Law at Yale Law School.

Listokin is a distinguished scholar in the field of law and economics. His areas of expertise include tax law, corporate law, and Jewish Law. His book “Law and Macroeconomics: Legal Remedies to Recessions,” played a key role in launching the emerging academic field of law and macroeconomics. 

Listokin has been honored as a Distinguished Fellow of the Hebrew University School of Law, a Milton Friedman Fellow of the Becker-Friedman Institute at the University of Chicago and has served as a Visiting Professor at Columbia Law School, Harvard Law School, and NYU School of Law. His research has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, CNN, and The Boston Globe.
