Alexia Cruz
Alexia has been with Travelers for over twenty years. She is currently Senior Vice President and Claim General Counsel, where she leads over 1,300 Claim Legal professionals, as well as serves on the Senior Leadership Team of both Claim and Legal. Prior to this role, Alexia spent seven years in Claim General Liability, most recently as Vice President of Claim General Liability in the Hartford office. Before joining Claim General Liability, Alexia spent six years leading the major case and complex claim units for Subrogation. Before that, she was an attorney in Claim Legal managing coverage and bad faith litigation for General Liability, Construction, Construction Liability and Products Liability.
Prior to joining Travelers, Alexia was a civil trial attorney at an area law firm practicing in their Insurance Coverage and Appellate groups. She is a graduate of Harvard College and Pepperdine School of Law.
Alexia is passionate about community service and remains active in several non-profit organizations. She been involved with Hartford Hospital Regional Board for over ten years, including a term as Chairperson of the Board and is an active fellow for the Connecticut Bar Foundation. She has been a proud member of the Connecticut Hispanic Bar Association for over twenty years, including a term as president. Alexia is also a former Commissioner of the Connecticut Human Rights and Opportunities Commission.
She and her husband, Jon, have fourteen-year-old twin daughters named Ava and Giselle.
