 ” \n\nWhile the anti-sex trafficking movement has brought awareness to fem
 ale survivors of trafficking\, the sex and labor trafficking of males is o
 ften overlooked.  According to experts\, the underreporting of men and boy
 s is rampant.  Stigma and shame\, coupled with gender-specific awareness e
 fforts\, programs\, and services that use non-inclusive language and image
 ry\, deter males from disclosing grooming\, sexual exploitation\, and trau
 ma in general.\n\nJoin us for a conversation with two experts who draw on 
 their own lived experiences in order to illuminate some of the unique chal
 lenges faced by men and boys who have been sex and labor trafficked.  Grou
 nding the discussion in their lived experiences\, both men will highlight 
 topics such as prevalence\; stereotypes and myths\; vulnerabilities and in
 tersectionality\; “a day in the life\;” why trafficked persons stay and ho
 w they get out\; and solutions\, including recovery\, services\, and refor
 m.\n\nOur inspiring and expert panelists include:\n•	an anonymous male surv
 ivor of sex trafficking\;\n•	Nathan Earl\, Public Health Consultant for gia
 ntslayer.\, Executive M.P.H. at Yale University ('24)\;\n•	Moderator: Sheil
 a N. Hayre\, Clinical Professor of Law at Quinnipiac University.\n\n\nIn o
 rder to ensure that the panelists’ personal stories remain confidential\, 
 the panel discussion will not be recorded and zoom attendance will not be 
 an option.  Further\, all attendees will be asked to sign a confidentialit
 y agreement\, agreeing to not disclose any identifying information about t
 he panelists\, including their names and any other identifying details.\n
